"Know When to Hold ’em, Know When to Fold ’em:
The Politics of Concession"
Wednesday, November 15th at 6:30 p.m.
Baruch College School of Public Affairs
17 Lexington Avenue (at 23rd Street)
Room 307
Baruch College, School of Public Affairs professors Douglas Muzzio and David Birdsell will discuss ballot challenges in the presidential campaign of 2000. When is a candidate obligated to mount a challenge in the event of a tight, contested vote count? When has a candidate pushed the system too far? Are there easy ways for the electorate to recognize the difference between self-interest and public interest?
Doug Muzzio is an expert on American national elections and public opinion and is a political analyst for WABC-TV, New York. David Birdsell is a specialist in campaign communication and provides election commentary for Fox News Channel, MSNBC, Reuters, and other news organizations.
Non-members are welcome to attend!
It’s a free event
